The world is still turning and I hope all is well in yours.
Books
I read a great book this month. What makes it great is the action-oriented approach. The Tools by psychotherapists Phil Stutz and Barry Michels (with a website to support!) prescribes several strategies for the flounderers among us – those who want to do better and be better, but find themselves stuck. Whether perseverating in negative thoughts, reliving destructive patterns, or acting out self-sabotaging behaviors, The Tools has a strategy for YOU! Your job is to use them. I am employing the gratitude flow daily and I already see shifts in the way my days have been aligning. I can handle missteps that would have previously led me down a spiral of unhelpful thoughts and self-criticisms. I’m getting better at letting go of the small stuff.
Key Points
“…The ultimate obligation—to make an effort for the rest of your life.”
“Free will must start with the individual.”
“Think of a particularly difficult problem you have in your life right now…as a challenge posed by a universe that wants you to evolve and knows that you can.”

Aligning with the idea of consistent effort and practice, I shared my workout log on Instagram this month. The most overlooked aspect of health-wellness is the simple idea of consistency. I am blessed that I love working out and I make it a priority to actively pursue movement. It helps with everything, including stress management—which is paramount these days. Are you interested in integrating more movement into your life? How can I support you in reaching your goals?
