What’s happening dudes and dudettes?
A few years ago, my friend recommended John Irving’s A Widow for One Year. I finally got around to reading it. WOW! The story follows Ruth and Eddie as they navigate the complexities of love and abandonment. I’ll be doing an author study. Anyone else want to get on board? One Irving novel a month until we’ve read them all.
Kid Lit: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. Full of mystery, action, and a twist of history, this was a fun start to the series. Sixteen year old Jacob goes on a journey to discover the truth behind his grandfather’s “peculiar” past and sudden death. It’s a fast and enjoyable read.
Health and fitness: I’ve been mixing mushrooms and onions into my burgers all month. All my burgers. Veggie, beef, turkey…if you’re making a pattie, add those shrooms and onions. Trust me.
Music : I was excited to hear Delorian Tokes link up with Coole High on the song Consensual. Sinth Sity nailed this track. The visual lyrics and emotional synth make for a stellar project. If you want more goodness from DT, check him out in Stereo Off. Sunsetting is still one of my favorites.
