Get Lit with Kit – December 2019

Happy holiday season!

I read M Scott Peck’s The Road Less Travelled. In it, he challenges the reader to explore what it means to live and love. The book pushed me to examine my habits, and now I wonder: Why do I repeat behaviors that I know are unhealthy? Chances are, you fall into certain patterns that are not serving your best interests. If you’re open to a challenge, give it a read.

If you’re in the mood for deeper reflection, you might try answering these questions. I have been working on them every year for a while (I think I initially lifted them from Tim Ferriss).

1. What were your biggest achievements this year?
2. What were the biggest misperceptions you held?
3. What are the two most important things you want to remember?
4. What are the top two changes that will have the greatest impact?
5. What do you want in the upcoming year AND how will you get it (identify specific actions/steps)?
6. What is your superpower?
7. What are you most thankful for this year?

In keeping with the season, I bought a 3 pound bag of fresh cranberries and I’ve been pounding them like nobody’s business. The tart burst of flavor inspired me to play with some of these recipes.

Finally, Punjabi hip hop. I’m loving this jam. So smooth.

Peace and love, health and happiness.
